Nov 25th
Product Marketing Manager for Microsoft Windows; Ben Basaric had an interview with PC Games Hardware. One of his statement from the interview came as surprise as he said that Windows 7 is unlikely to come with DirectX 11 but the same guy has now confirmed that Windows 7 will come with DirectX 11 and it will also be shipped for Windows Vista.
According to some reports on Internet, DirecX 11 binaries are present in the November SDK. The statement from Ben Basaric came as a surprise but now PC Games Hardware has managed to get a new statement from him stating that Windows 7 will be shipped with DirectX 11and even Windows Vista will get DirectX 11.
Of course for all this to happen, we have to wait for Windows 7 and DirectX 11 capable graphics cards (which are scheduled for late 2009 release).
The statements from Ben Basaric can be found here.
